Is there anything sweeter than a husband and wife wedding team!? Enter: Farmer Visuals, the talented North Carolina-based videography duo with true hearts of gold. We were introduced through the Creative at Heart family, and when we first discussed their rebrand, Allyson and Ben were SO passionate about it representing what makes them special as a couple. Don’t you love that?
They are self-proclaimed “cinema nerds,” who specialize in the technical side of filming and the art of capturing emotive relationships. Whether it’s for a couple on their wedding day, or a corporation in need of promotional videos, their unique approach results in an authentic time capsule of memories for their clients.
One of Allyson and Ben’s biggest concerns in going through this process was leaving a brand that felt like them. For this reason, I wanted to make sure the palette, in particular, didn’t lean overly feminine or light and airy. Taking Allyson’s love for farmhouse style (think: Magnolia!) with Ben’s inclination for a moodier approach to film, we embraced a palette of deep teal, navy, sky blue, and warm neutrals.
I loved the idea of their logo looking like an actual movie title - hence the dramatic effect and “warped” nature of the word "Farmer.” Contrasted with a clean, professional serif typography, this logo is striking but timeless - accomplishing the perfect balance of Allyson and Ben’s tastes.
One of my favorite details of their brand as a whole is the Star Wars “Jedi” inspired pattern. Not only is it Ben’s favorite movie of all time (and a huge source of inspiration for his cinematic style!), it’s also a subtle nod to their quirky nature.
