For someone who’s already extremely prone to wanderlust (and may or may not book international trips on a whim), working on the North & Leisure brand was such a treat, and I’m SO excited to share this brand reveal with you!
My client, Kate, is a certified expert on all things Scotland, Ireland, and Atlantic Canada, and her ability to curate an out-of-the-box itinerary is uncanny. Her clients embody a “work hard, play hard” mentality and would rather spend their hard-earned money on an experience (likely on their own!) than a new pair of shoes or a nice car. They believe in going beyond the surface with any trip they take and are open-minded to exploring new places. Knowing this, we turned to an Irish countryside-inspired, relaxed color palette with influence from organic textures, regional symbols, and classic typography for North & Leisure’s rebrand.
Largely inspired by the calming and coastal atmospheres of Ireland, Scotland, and Atlantic Canada, the North & Leisure brand speaks to a client yearning for an off the beaten path adventure. Kate’s attentive nature, unique perspective, and appreciation for authentic experience is exemplified through an earthy palette, timeless typography, and slight nautical nods reminiscent of her personal travel diaries. A unique ampersand in the form of a sailor’s knot adds the perfect touch of intrigue, while the brand’s primary pattern takes a unique spin on a classic Celtic symbol. All together, it’s timeless, slightly rugged and overall professional.
Needless to say, after burying myself in images and research on the region, I’m dying to make a trip to see this lush greenery for myself! Congratulations, Kate!
